Deepa Shankar joined Palms Insurance in 2025 to lead accounting and finance disciplines. She oversees financial reporting and works closely with the underwriting, actuarial, operations and claims business teams to provide fiscal insights, forecasting, and budgeting for the company.

Prior to joining Palms, Deepa was Vice President, Head of Financial Reporting and Analysis at Everest Global, where she led the insurance reporting function, managed the quarterly close for all insurance segments, and partnered with the actuarial teams on loss reserving, ELR development, and emerging loss trends.  Deepa also spent 17 years at Chubb Ltd., where she held senior roles in FP&A and corporate reporting, supported a $4B portfolio, and led major planning and transformation initiatives.   Her tenure also included significant contributions to statutory reporting, systems transformation, and integration work following Chubb’s acquisition by ACE.

Deepa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance & Accounting and is a Certified Cost Accountant.
